Vino Van Gogh: Girls Night Out

21 Oct

Twice now I have been to Vino Van Gogh, an art studio in Alamo Heights. The instructor leads you step by step to re-create a masterpiece. You can bring wine and snacks and it is so much fun! Both times I went with groups of girls. Men are invited too, of course, but it is overwhelmingly a girls’ night out kind of activity.

The first time a group of four friends ventured in to paint Van Gogh’s Starry Night. It was a huge class and different people worked at different paces but we had a blast and left with some fabulous paintings:

Last week, Abby and I went back to give O’Keeffe’s Callalily a try. This one had a lot less color so a great deal of time was spent mixing shades of grey and brown. It was worth the drab colors in the end – I absolutely love my painting!

Not too shabby in my opinion! Places like this are popping up everywhere. I highly recommend giving it a try – I can’t wait to go back!
